We Are Change Sweden founder Michael Benson has been locked up in a psychiatric facility since the 19th of August 2009. He was a suspect in several bomb threats, including a threat to a local police station and RFSL, a community for gays, lesbians etc.
The threat towards RFSL was taken seriously, and they decided to evacuate the building in central Stockholm. In the case of the bomb threat to Västberga police station, four police officers apparently tracked a phone call from Michael's father's apartment, and he was taken in for questioning. Benson denied the charges, but the public prosecutor decided to arrest him for 24 hours.
He spent the following evening at Västberga police station, and was eventually released the day after. He gave his information about his contacts with Huddinge hospital's Open Ward, a place where patients arrive to take their medication or simply talk to doctors and nurses, to a police officer at Västberga police station.
The following week, Benson receives a phone call from a nurse at the Open Ward in Huddinge. She tells him to be at the Ward before 3AM or they will call the police on him. Benson agrees and leaves his father's apartment along with his dad, Patrick.
When they both arrive at the Open Ward, Benson is greeted by a doctor whom he has been in contact with for over three years, Dr. Jeanne Ahlberg Hedlund (deceased on 20th of February 2010 due to cancer in the leg that spread all over her body). Dr. Ahlberg reads the suspected emails that apparently came from Michael's computer. The emails were considered to be so dangerous that the public prosecutor almost decided to make Benson a suspect of bioterrorism.
Dr. Ahlberg asked if Benson had emailed those messages to RFSL, and he replied with a short "No". Ahlberg subsequently wrote a letter called LPT (lagen om psykiatrisk tvångsvård in Swedish), detaining Michael for at least another 24 hours. Ahlberg believed Benson was suffering from a psychosis at the moment and decided he needed further psychiatric evaluation in order to determine if he posed a threat to others or himself.
Benson was kept in isolation between the 19th and 20th of August, before being injected with three different needles, with at least one of them containing Haldol. He was then transferred out of his isolation cell, and kept inside a section called "114". After spending six days there, he was transferred again from the Open Ward's section into Huddinge hospital, specifically "M79".
Ever since, he has been having therapy sessions with his treating doctor, Dr. James Richard Tuck, a very experienced doctor who has been practicing since 1961 in Sweden and in psychiatry since 1963. Dr. Tuck is the Social Board's expert regarding psychiatry.
Benson will hopefully be released this year by Dr. Tuck after sustaining a well coordinated social situation and network.
The public prosecutor decided to drop all charges against Michael in December of 2009. Still, he has been locked up in a psychiatric facility ever since the day he came willingly with his father to the Open Ward.
Benson has decided to leave the 9/11 Truth Movement after his experience with law enforcement and the psychiatric facility. But he still hopes for a truly independent investigation in to those tragic events, almost after nine years they happened.
Peace
